Last night I saw “Darwin in Malibu” then dined with the star of the show, David Breitbath, and the amazing woman, director and friend, Amanda Schlachter. We ate at Lan on Main Street where I finally ate the food! It was fantastic. If you like to patronize local eateries, don’t miss this one.

Earlier today, I was waiting for my Frappuccino, wearing sunglasses, when he called my name like a question. Amy? I turned around. It was Doug. He accused me of going “incognito.” Doug always makes me laugh. In fact, Doug, Linda and I had a huge laugh-fest once, like there was nothing in the world better to do than entertain ourselves in the sunshine while others prepared the food and drink. In any case, it’s always great to see Doug. On this day, Doug was showing a Sarasota business to Cliff, his client, when he turned the conversation from their business to my business like they had nothing better to do than talk about gg ~ single sarasota girl all day long! I started laughing. Again.

you got it! It’s official – I have a personal blog, at the request of my sweet, smart friend, Christine Alexander (and the NY Times). I’m leaving Sarasota on Wednesday, May 23 for about a year. At least that’s the plan…but we all know about plans.

About gg…who knows. Right now I’ve got it good. The girls are healthy, I have time to sleep, write and flirt with Rod, the Man I Love.

I’ll be in New Hampshire through the end of July or August, then off to California in August or September. Same email, same phone, new blog, stay in touch!
